Disability will form an integral part of all equal opportunities policies and practices. This policy
sets out common values, principles, and beliefs and describes the steps that will be taken in
meeting our commitment to BS Disability Policy.


Title I – Our values, principles, and beliefs


· All disabled persons & child have equal rights to live.
· The situation of all disabled persons & child must be improve through promotion of their
rights as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability.
· We have a commitment to provide rehabilitation support to the disabled persons & child.
· When we work through partners, they have a responsibility to meet minimum standards of
disability rights.


Title II – What we will do


We will meet our commitment to make better environment for the Disabled Persons & Child by
the following means:


Awareness: we will ensure that all staff and others are aware of the disabled persons & child
rights. In addition, specific steps will be taken to raise awareness of disability throughout the
organisation & the community.


Prevention: we will ensure, through awareness and good practice, that staff and others to
minimize the risks of disability.


Reporting: we will ensure that staff and others are clear what steps to take where concerns
arise regarding the disability issues.


Responding: we will ensure that action is taken to support and refer disabled persons & child
where concerns arise regarding possible rehabilitation & treatment.


Recruitment: we will facilitate the working opportunity for the disabled persons.
Profession: Specific steps will be taken to ensure that disabled employees have the same
opportunity as others to develop their full potential within the organisation.


Training: we will ensure to provide skill development training to the disabled person.

Identification: the disabled child & adult who are coming for receive the rehabilitation service
from the centre, they shall be named as “Client” in verbal and written.


Title III – How we will ensure our commitments above are met


1. Recruitment procedures will include checks on suitability for working with disabled people.
2. Training, learning opportunities and support will be provided by BS members as appropriate
to ensure commitments are met.
3. Work in partnership with parents/carers and/or other professionals to ensure the disability
rights.


Title IV – Code of conduct (Staff and Others)


1. Not hit, otherwise physically assault, or physically abuse to a disabled persons & child.
2. Not use language, make suggestions, or offer advice, which is inappropriate, offensive, or
abusive.
3. Not act in ways intended to shame, humiliate, belittle or degrade disabled, or otherwise
perpetrate any form of emotional abuse.
4. Not discriminate against, show differential treatment, or favour particular disabled to the
exclusion of others.
5. To ensure that a sense of accountability exists between staff so that poor practice or
potentially abusive behaviour does not go unchallenged.


The purpose of this policy is to ensure that staff and the administration of the programme are in
a well management. The Governing Body of BS Rehabilitation Centre for the Disabled reserves
the right to amend, modify or delete any of the Rules herein laid down, as may be found
necessary from time to time.


IN WITNESS THEREOF the undersigned plenipotentiaries, being duly authorized thereto
